Filming

Network Rail has facilitated commercial filming for over ten years.

We have a proactive commitment to supporting the film and television industries and we welcome all type of productions from Hollywood blockbusters, TV dramas and corporate videos to virals, students, low-budget films and stills photography.

Network Rail has a single point of contact for all commercial filming enquiries. We consider each request on an individual basis and will do what we can to ensure your shoot runs smoothly.

We do ask that you understand we are running an operational railway and can only grant requests if they fall within our safety guidelines.

'Filming': A definition

The term ‘filming’ refers to all forms of moving image production. This includes feature films, television, commercials, pop promos, drama documentaries, corporate productions, video and interactive media.

As one of the largest landowners in the UK, our portfolio includes 17 managed stations in addition to warehouses, bridges, viaducts, depots and tunnels.
