Have a look at our overview of major projects and the roles that we are looking to fill

The key purpose of our Infrastructure Investment function is the efficient delivery of renewals and enhancements through improved specification, better utilisation of resources and the professional control and management of projects.

Our focus is to renew and enhance the rail infrastructure to deliver
our commitments for the future through increased efficiency and
value for money.

The emphasis is very much on excellence in project management delivery; with a more hands-on approach, good alignment with our corporate vision of 'engineering excellence' and closer collaboration with key suppliers.

Adopting this approach will help us to achieve our corporate goals of higher service performance, increased system capability and improved customer and stakeholder relationships.

Working for Network Rail

Working for today’s railway is not just about trains and track. We’re building wonderfully innovative and environmentally challenging structures that will spark transformation and regeneration in their communities. And where our projects are track related, the scale and complexity will provide a unique set of challenges every day.

There are currently 944 million passenger journeys every year, and this is forecast to soon grow to over
a billion. With so much at stake, our infrastructure has to deliver.

Which is why we are attracting the best people to Network Rail..
